Chaos Reigns

Seriously...I never thought I would live in such chaos. I like to live in a nice, happy, organized environment. I have a nice house, I have a (mostly) happy family, but organized...no-sir-rie-bob!

Friends come to the door and flee in fear that the mess will follow them out the door; door-to-door salesmen happily accept (with a look of deep gratitude) my "not today" response to their request to come and clean a room of my house with their newest cleaning wonder; even the toys are trying to get out the door! Yes, it's to that point.

Here's the craziest part - I spend a good part of the day straightening, cleaning and organizing. But alas...chaos reigns in my little house.

Sigh, sigh, sigh ... Ok, now I'm off to clear away another pile...it might just bury me...wish me luck.

This is one of Matt's favorite things to say, "WE HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF!" Chaos reigns at my house too. I've seen your house, silly, and I have a hard time picturing toys trying to walk out the door with how you've organized them so nicely. Good luck!

Oh, my goodness...THIS WAS MY DAY. When I cleared the table, the toddler emptied the bookshelf. When I washed the dishes, he found more food and made a mess on the table again. ARGH!!

I can relate. Like Aunt Lola, when I try to clean, something else gets even more messy. Dishes are always trying to take over! :) When you say chaos, it reminds me of Flylady. She calls it the Can't Have Anyone Over syndrome. I'm sure it is not as bad as you think.

Yep Richelle - I tried FlyLady for a while. Got some good ideas from her and do my own thing.

LoLo - Thanks for relating with me! I'm glad to hear I'm not alone.

Rachel - I have been to your house too and think that Chaos is never a part of the equation - it is always just joy and happiness there! :)

This made me laugh because that is totally my life right now! I love little newborn babies, but they can sure make life unpredictable and leave the house very cluttered. Throw a 2-yr-old into the mix and it makes for some fun times. I should probably embrace my chaotic house right now. At least I have a good excuse, right?

Aaaaah! When will it stop?? We'll miss it someday, right? Okay, maybe not.

I have a sister-in-law who always apologizes for how messy her home is when I go over there, but it is actually pretty much spotless. I am betting that your "chaos" is another person's very clean and organized. :)
