So...my cute SIL got engaged last weekend. She will be the last of my husband's siblings to get married. I was the second to last to get married in my family so no more weddings until my nieces and nephews...which I don't even want to think about but which is totally freaky because 3 of them will be Seniors in high school next year (YIKES!!!). Anywho...my SIL will be getting married in July. I can't believe how quickly she has grown up. I mean, she was 11 (I'm thinking...correct me if I'm wrong, those of you who would know) when I got married. And now she's planning her own wedding??? I can still picture her swishing her cute dress at our wedding...and now she's looking for her own wedding gown??? Am I turning into one of those old people, who get all nostalgic about the old days??? Sheesh!!!!
On the other hand...I'm so excited for her to experience the joy of planning her wedding: the fun of picking colors, of choosing menus, of looking at flowers, tablecloths, napkins, dishes for the tables, the excitement of registering, of creating/selecting wedding invitations, of choosing a wedding cake, and so on and on and on and on.....
As I mentioned above, this will be the last of the sibling weddings for me. The last time, until my own children get married that I will be getting all fancied up in a specific color scheme for a wedding. So, now I will ask, plead, BEG! my darling SIL...when you are choosing a color scheme/whatever for your own darling SILs, please, oh, please, oh please! Choose a color scheme/whatever that will look good on your poor SIL Leslie. You must remember...I am now in my mid-thirties. I am a mother of 2. I have a stomach that has been stretched too far twice. Would you consider all black? Black is a slimming color, you know. Just kidding Becs...I will wear whatever you want.
Seriously...congrats to my darling SIL and her awesome fiance. Here's to the next few months of joyful planning and great anticipation! Happy Summer Wedding!!!

Congrats to her!
That's awesome! Congratulations to her! I have my little sister and she is the last on my side... it will be my first wedding going to married. :) And July is a beautiful month to get married! (my birthday month... :)
Oh don't worry she has allowed all of the women to wear a very pretty shade of blue. A blouse with a skirt (black if you want it ; ) will work! And I think Mom H has found blouses for you, Richelle, and Traci to wear. Haha, I know, I sound like its my wedding, but we've been planning....oh how we've been planning.
I don't care what we wear. I'm just excited it's a SUMMER wedding. No more of these freezing cold winter ones...
