For Best Results

Who would have thought you could find wisdom at Bath & Body Works?

So...I love Bath & Body Works. I love just walking in the doors, I love the smells, and the sales...it's just a good place. Living here in lovely Arizona, I actually live fairly close to a Bath & Body Works outlet. Whenever I am AZ Mills, I make it a point to go into the B&BW outlet to see what's there. One fine day, I found a lovely bottle of Aromatherapy Bubble Bath for $1.99. Seriously folks...could it get any better than that?

So...one time as I was having a theraputic - take-a-few-moments-away-from-reality - bath, I actually decided to read the bottle. And I learned something amazing. Here is what the bottle actually said.

For best results: Breathe deeply.

And so I did and you know what...they were right...you get the best results that way. But it goes beyond having a beautifully relaxing bath, it just makes sense for life.

No matter whether it is a good day, a bad day, or a neither-way-day, life is just better if you breathe deeply.

On those good days...take a deep breath and savor the moment.

On the days when the kids are driving you bonkers and you are about ready to crack...take a deep breath and give yourself a moment to relax.

I know I haven't been around the blogosphere lately, and if you wonder what I have been doing I will say this...I have been taking a big, fat, deep breath. I've been figuring out ways to simplify my life, to enjoy what is going on around me, to evaluate what is really most important for me to be doing.

I might not be doing as much blogging as I have done in the past...I just want more time to breathe.

And...in honor of my return to blogging and the wisdom I have gained from a bottle, I'll be sending one lucky reader a 1.7 oz (small, but still awesome) bottle of Bath & Body Works
Breathe happiness: 24/7 moisture boost body lotion (scent: blissful citrus watermint - and I can attest...it is most blissful). This is probably the only place you can get it though, because the breathe line at B&BW has been discontinued...but since I live near the outlet...well...

So...post a comment on this or any other post I make through the week. I'll announce the winner next Wednesday, the 21st of January with the name of the winner. Comment as much as you like...however...I'll just give you one entry per post of mine. Is this confusing enough???

If you're still out there reading me...Thank You!!! Don't forget to take time to BREATHE!!!

What a great post - especially this time of year when everyone naturally tends to evaluate. Thanks for the reminder to just breathe deeply!

WOW--I am glad that you are semi-back. But I do know what you mean--I took a much needed break from blogging over the Holidays. It was hard at first but they I was able to enjoy quality time with the kids and that made it eaiser!!

I always find that when I am over-stressed or angry--I end up locked in the bathroom and I take several cleansing deep breaths. It helps SO much!!

I am a huge proponent of deep breathing. Especially of lovely smells. I once red an entire book devoted to the subject. I learned that if you plug one nostril and breathe in deeply, then switch to the other and breathe out, it helps you think creatively and problem solve. Hence, I am a great problem solver;)

This is beautifully written, and it's so true. It's something I need to remember to do a lot more every day. I love Bath & Body Works too. I was just there yesterday buying some of their great Sleep products. I'm glad you're back!

I'm so happy you're back!!! I've missed you. Hope your holidays were nice! There's a day spa here called Breathe. It's amazing. They really get the concept of taking a moment to relax and re-focus. Great post! Thanks.

I wondered where you were. Now I know you were just breathing!
I love BBW but I hate it when they discontinue things. They do that with my favs all the time.
