Taking A Breather

Hey everybody...sometimes I feel like an idiot blogger.

That's where I am right now.

I'm going to be taking a little break from blogging right now. I need to evaluate myself and my blog a bit.

What do you think? Is this a blog worth reading...or is it a chore? Am I a descent writer...or do I just stink?

I guess I'll leave that open for discussion while I take a little break and think for a few days.

I am giving you the Brilliante Web award that I posted on my blog today.

You have a great blog!

I for one, really enjoy your blog. And if you weren't a decent writer, I wouldn't be reading you. I can't stand incoherent rambling.

I think taking some time off is a good idea if you're feeling overwhelmed. I like to do that every once in awhile and think about why I really blog.

Just remember, have fun and be yourself! We like you.

I, for one, enjoy reading your blog! I'm rather ruthless with my Reader lists...if I'm bored with a writer for several days in a row...they get the "auf". Write what you want to write, and if people read it, they like it. We wouldn't read it if we didn't!

I enjoy reading your blog--and I read it every time you have a new post. I don't always leave comments, though, (based on time contraints).

Anyway--I have taken breaks from blogging, too. (Sometimes purely accidental.) And, I had to evaluate why I was choosing to blog in the first place. Was it to tell other people about my life? Was it to carry on a dialogue with other readers? Or, was it solely for the purpose of recording my own memories? In the end, I decided that the most important reason for me, personally, to blog was to keep track of my own thoughts and memories. Having a sense of my own blogging purpose helped me understand that I just needed to post what I wanted to post when I wanted to post it. People who liked peeking into my life would read it--and those who were bored by it would leave it alone.

Keep doing what you do when you have time (and brain power) to do it! I love reading positive, uplifting words--and that's what I've found here.

I've thought about scrapping my blog many times. That's when I know I just need to take a break from it. Those of us who are loyal followers will be here when you get back. :)

OK. See my little picture over there on the right under followers? Well, technically tht gorgeous redhead is not me but I pretend she is. I would not follow you if I didn't enjoy your blog. But, having said that, I firmly believe you should only do what gives you pleasure. So, do what you need to do. Just know you'll be missed if you stop.

Yes, you may take a break. No, you may not stop blogging. I love reading your blog although I don't always comment -mostly a time issue. I was just thinking this week what an awesome writer I never knew you were!! Keep it coming, Les.

I have thorougly enjoyed reading your blog. I've added it to my google reader. That's what I try to read every day, is the blogs I have there. Unfortunately, lately, my time seems to be evaporating. I'm a few days behind on all my reading. I do hope you'll keep blogging. The advice above is all excellent, whatever you do, make sure it makes YOU happy. I'll keep reading whatever you write.
